Technology

We use GPS so we know in real time where our foot patrol personnel and vehicles are located. We monitor our security guards while they are on duty 24/7. They must check in at specific times throughout their shift.

This is critical. If a guard does not check in at the arranged time for any reason, we dispatch a security lead to the site to assess the situation, and when necessary, take over the guard shift.

Scanning Check-In System

We want to make sure that our guards are covering their scheduled rounds on time. To do so, we install small Radio Frequency-Identification (RFID) tags throughout the property. When a security guard passes a RFID location, a RFID scanner records it.
The RFID scans are reviewed by a security field officer to verify security guards are properly monitoring all designated sites at a location. These reports are available to clients for review.

FAQ'S

Are All Your Guards Licensed?

Yes. All our guards have successfully passed a licensing exam by the Bureau of Security & Investigative Services in California or the Arizona Department of Public Safety in Arizona. Additional ongoing training is required to maintain a current license. At APS, we also provided continuing education training and additional training as security needs arise or new technology is introduced.

Are Your Security Guards CPR And First Aid Trained?

Yes. All our guards have successfully completed CPR and First Aid certification training and are required to keep these certifications current.

Do Security Guards Have The Authority To Make Arrests?

Part of a security guard’s training and duties is having the power to arrest those who are suspected of committee illegal acts. Typically, guards will detain the individual and then contact law enforcement for assistance.

Do Your Guards Carry Guns?

Some of our guards are licensed to carry a firearm. Not all security situations require that guards be armed. We evaluate the security needs of clients and discuss with clients whether an armed security service would be appropriate.

Do You Conduct Background Checks On Your Guards?

Yes. Part of the state licensing process requires that potential private security guards undergo and pass a criminal FBI background check. APS also checks DMV history and employment history. We check personal references and conduct drug screenings.

How Do You Determine The Right Kind Of Security Measures For Each Assignment?

Although there are often similarities in many security jobs, every assignment is different. We discuss your needs and review your site before suggesting security measures.

Are Guards Available Around The Clock?

Yes. Our guards regularly conduct patrols at retail businesses, residential communities, office buildings, outdoor sites, parking lots, warehouses and hospitals 24/7. Crime can occur at any hour of the day. Overnight hours are often when break-ins and vandalism are attempted. Our guards are always on call and available for service.

Do You Work With Local Governments And Agencies?

Yes. We regularly contract with government entities to help with patrols of parks, beaches, government buildings and other public areas.

What Type Of Security Technology Do You Use?

We use GPS devices so we can monitor, in real time, where our foot patrol guards and vehicles are located at a client’s property. To ensure that our guards are covering their scheduled rounds correctly and on time, we install small Radio Frequency-Identification (RFID) tags throughout the property. When a security guard passes a RFID location, a RFID scanner records it. This is important because it verifies that guards are where they need to be at all times.

Do You Suggest Using Security Cameras?

We believe security cameras can deter crime if their feeds are monitored continuously in real time. If one of our offsite personnel spots something suspicious on a camera feed at a client’s location, onsite guards are immediately contacted to investigate. This has far more value than reviewing security camera video after a crime is committed. By then, the criminal is long gone and the chances for arrest are reduced.

Are Your Guards Trained in Emergency Response?

Violence, accidents, natural disasters–or a pandemic–can occur at any time. When an emergency happens, the public looks to police and uniformed security guards to help them through the ordeal. Our trained guards assess the situation and do what is needed for the public safety. When evacuations are in order, our guards quickly and calmly escort the public to safety until further help arrives. When COVID-19 hit, we immediately trained our guards to provide health screenings at hospitals and medical centers, and stationed guards at retail stores, businesses and other public and private spaces to ensure the public was complying with health and safety requirements.

How Do You Bill For Services?

Once we discuss your security needs, we develop and present a security plan and a budget based on the level of recommended service. All costs are spelled out so there are no surprises. You’ll find our prices fair and honest.

What Kind Of Training is Required To Become A Licensed Security Guard?

After passing an initial licensing exam and background check by the Bureau of Security & Investigative Services in California or the Arizona Department of Public Safety in Arizona, guards are then required to put in further hours of training. For example, California requires that guards take 32 hours of additional training within the first six months of being hired by a security guard company. Annual continuing education is also required. Armed guards must pass additional firearms training.

How Much Can A Security Guard Earn?

It varies. Hourly rates depend on the amount of needed experience, type of skills required for a particular assignment and whether the guard is armed or unarmed.

Nations are built by many contributing factors, and every nation looks to build a strong economy. It is a fact that any growing economy is driven by many factors, wherein logistics-based supply chain trade is a crucial one. When it comes to logistic-aligned supply chain businesses, the first thing that comes to mind is warehouse. It is the backbone of a trading business where high-value items are stored that are transported to different destinations. However, owing to the high importance of warehouses, they are exposed to many security risks such as thefts, vandalism, internal malpractices, and even fire hazards. There have been many reports where criminals have specifically targeted warehouses that house raw materials and even the ones that store finished products. This is because the criminals know if they steal such goods, they can sell them at a handsome rate in the black market. Such a scenario has been a concern for business owners, as any harm to their warehouse would directly result in huge losses for the business. Needless to say, when business of such nature fails, it affects the country’s economic growth.

The only solution to prevent illegal activities or any damage to warehouses is to deploy the best security guards at the site. The good news is the pressing concern of this industry has been taken into consideration by reputed security companies. After examining a lot of various threats that loom over warehouses, private security guard services in San Fernando Valley have upgraded their services accordingly. Security guards from top companies are specially trained to safeguard the warehouse in many ways. Unlike corporate business houses and retail stores, warehouses are often situated at remote industrial locations. This means they operate in vast areas where general public attention is low, which makes them vulnerable to trespassing. A warehouse that lacks proper security often ends up as a soft target for criminals. A single security breach would not only result in financial losses for the business but also erode the client’s trust and the company’s reputation.

Hiring professional patrolling security guard services would help the business in many ways. A team of security guards in uniform is itself enough to keep away criminals from barging into the property. The security guards monitor the activities at the warehouse, and if they find any suspicious activity, they take immediate action. Gone are the days when security guards were perceived as just gatekeepers who used to open and close gates for visitors. Today’s modern security guards are trained in a manner that makes them capable of establishing a robust access control system. They check the documents of visitors and validate their purpose of visit with the warehouse manager before letting them enter the warehouse premises. Moreover, a thorough security inspection is carried out by them wherein every visitor is physically checked along with their belongings and vehicles. This ensures no one carries any prohibited item inside the premises.

Hiring a professional private security guard service in San Fernando Valley would mean that you are protected by guards who are extremely skilled in their job. In case of any security incident, guards can tackle any kind of dangerous criminals and hand them over to the local police. On the other hand, if there is a sensitive issue, security guards can manage the situation through dialogues and resolve the issue in a calm manner. Companies offering patrolling security guard services trained their personnel to be technologically advanced. The security officers deployed at the warehouse make the best use of technology. They install the latest CCTV cameras at strategic spots of the warehouse and coordinate among themselves using smartphones. Security officers from <<<private security guard service in San Fernando Valley>» also use GPS-enabled devices, metal detectors, and scanning machines that elevate their security cover at the site.

Ever imagined what it would be if a fire broke out at a warehouse? It is the biggest nightmare of every businessman who stores goods at a warehouse. Deploying trained security guards at the site would help them tackle emergency situations. Security guards offering patrolling security guard services can minimize damage and losses to the warehouses by implementing the safety measures. They also are the ones to call the emergency experts and help employees, staff members, customers, workers, and others present at the warehouse evacuate the site. There are many guards from reputed companies who have a basic understanding of providing basic medical care like first aid and CPR until professional help arrives. Thus, patrolling security guard services can also contribute to providing basic medical support.

The demand for trained security guards has risen to a great extent. This has given rise to many new security service providers. Therefore, it is important to choose your service provider wisely. The fundamental aspect of choosing the right company is knowing your own needs first. As soon as you have proper clarity of your security needs, aligning the service offerings will be easier. For instance, check if the firm offering private security guard service in San Fernando Valley can customize their services for you. For example, there are businesses that store perishable goods and therefore need proper regulated temperature control at the warehouse. There are specific security guards who are skilled and knowledgeable who can help ensure the temperature is maintained at the right level.
